Counseling Intern
Currently Accepting New Clients

We weren’t meant to do life alone, and some of the most fulfilling aspects of life are deep, meaningful relationships with others. However, becoming our best selves in community often begins with looking inward.

JJ is currently a counseling intern who is gaining hands-on clinical experience as part of his professional training. He works directly under the supervision of Jonathan Smith, MA, LPC, CPCS who oversees his work to ensure clients receive thoughtful, ethical, and high-quality care. This collaborative approach allows JJ to offer meaningful support while also benefiting from ongoing guidance and expertise.

About Me: I enjoy working with teens and young adults (12+) as they navigate life transitions, school and career stress, and the challenges that come with relationships and growing into adulthood. I also have an interest in supporting men, as well as individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and loneliness. I value creating a space where clients feel seen and understood as they process both the practical and deeper aspects of their lives.

I am passionate about helping clients explore their relationship with themselves and the narratives they’ve developed about their lives. My goal is to help clients grow in self-acceptance, clarify their sense of purpose, and show up authentically in pursuit of that calling.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I’m especially interested in games and competitions, including video games, board games, and outdoor activities like pickleball and spike ball. I’m also a big football fan—you can usually find me cheering on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturdays and the Atlanta Falcons on Sundays. I live in Cobb County, Georgia.
